- What You're Looking At
Every site on this page started as a paragraph of plain English. No hand-written HTML, no template purchased from a marketplace, no designer on retainer. Somebody described what they wanted, an AI wrote the code, and the result went live on the internet.
That's vibe coding. Andrej Karpathy, formerly of Tesla and OpenAI, coined the phrase in February 2025 to describe the habit of just describing what you want and letting the model handle the rest. Collins named it their Word of the Year by the end of that same year. By 2026, 92% of US developers use AI coding tools daily, and roughly 63% of the people doing this aren't developers at all. They're business owners, marketers, and creators who got tired of waiting three weeks for a landing page.
