Worlds Next Door - Random Imagery

Overhead photograph of a 1970s dinner party table. A towering salmon aspic mold glistens under warm tungsten lighting, surrounded by deviled eggs on avocado-green plates. Orange shag carpet visible at the frame edges. Cigarette smoke curls through the air. Shot on a 35mm film camera with slight grain and oversaturated Kodachrome color. Square 1:1 crop. Nostalgic, unsettling, oddly beautiful.

A crumbling concrete brontosaurus stands alone in an empty desert parking lot at golden hour. Faded hand-painted sign reads "SEE THE WONDER — 25¢." Cracked asphalt, tumbleweeds, a single rusted car in the distance. Warm amber light, long shadows. Shot on medium format film with shallow depth of field. Square 1:1 crop. Americana fever dream.
